Jersey FIU and Sierra Leone FIA Signed MoU
The Director General, DAVID N. BORBOR of the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) delivered a significant presentation to the team of Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Republic of Jersey. This session underscored the importance of international cooperation in combating financial crimes, money laundering, and terrorist financing on October 9, 2024.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two financial intelligence units, sharing typologies and best practices, and establishing a framework for information exchange to support ongoing investigations into cross-border financial crimes.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Jersey FIU and Sierra Leone FIA marks a significant milestone in international cooperation against financial crime, enabling both units to share intelligence more effectively and coordinate on cross-border investigations.
