FIU training on ML/TF Risk Assessment

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) conducted a comprehensive training program on Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment for key stakeholders in Sierra Leone's financial sector.

The training aimed to build the capacity of reporting entities and law enforcement agencies in identifying, assessing, and mitigating the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing. Participants were trained on the methodologies for conducting risk assessments, identifying suspicious transactions, and reporting obligations under the AML/CFT Act.

This initiative is part of the FIU's ongoing efforts to strengthen Sierra Leone's AML/CFT regime and ensure compliance with international standards set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
